PHMACAO Wagering Requirements: Turnover Maths in Real Pesos

A PHMACAO bonus is only as good as its wagering requirement, and that requirement is easiest to judge once it is written in pesos. This page gives you the three-step method we use, works through examples with invented figures, and shows which terms can quietly double or void the work.

The Three-Step Method

  1. Work out the turnover: multiply the bonus (or deposit plus bonus, if the terms say so) by the wagering multiple.
  2. Work out the expected cost: multiply that turnover by the house edge of the games you will play (100 percent minus RTP).
  3. Compare the expected cost with the bonus. If the cost is close to or above the bonus, the offer is worth little on average.

Every figure below is invented to show the arithmetic. Use the numbers printed in the operator's own terms for any real offer.

Worked Example: Bonus-Only Wagering

StepCalculationResult
Bonus creditExample figure₱200
Wagering multipleExample figure20x
Turnover needed₱200 × 20₱4,000
House edge at 96% RTP4%—
Expected cost₱4,000 × 4%₱160
Expected value left₱200 − ₱160about ₱40

On average you keep about a fifth of the bonus, and a losing run can wipe out the balance well before you finish.

Worked Example: Deposit Plus Bonus

Some terms apply the multiple to your deposit and the bonus together. Same example, with a ₱200 deposit added: (₱200 + ₱200) × 20 = ₱8,000 of turnover, with an expected cost of ₱320. That is more than the bonus itself, and your own deposit is locked until the wagering is done. Always check which version the terms use.

Game Contribution

Game typeTypical contributionEffect on ₱4,000 requirement
SlotsOften 100%₱4,000 of bets
Table gamesOften partial, e.g. 10–20%₱20,000 to ₱40,000 of bets
Live casinoOften low or excludedMay not count at all

Percentages here are examples of how contribution tables are usually laid out, not the operator's figures. Read the actual table in the promotion terms.

The Terms That Void a Bonus

  • Maximum bet: one stake above the limit can cancel the bonus and its winnings.
  • Excluded games: playing them may not count or may void the offer.
  • Expiry: unfinished wagering when the clock runs out usually removes the bonus.
  • Maximum cash-out: winnings above the cap are removed on withdrawal.
  • Multiple accounts: a second account in the same household can void both.

Screenshot the terms on the day you claim. If something is removed later, you can ask support which rule was applied.

When Declining Is the Better Deal

If the turnover is larger than your session budget can sensibly cover, or if quick access to your deposit matters, decline the bonus. You can usually untick it at deposit or ask support to remove it before your first bet. The same maths applies to codes from our promo code guide and to free spin winnings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 20x wagering mean?

You must place bets totalling 20 times the stated amount before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check whether it applies to the bonus alone or deposit plus bonus.

Does winning count toward wagering?

No. Wagering counts stakes placed, not wins. Winnings simply return to the balance you keep betting with.

Can I withdraw before finishing wagering?

Often not, or only by forfeiting the bonus and its winnings. Read the withdrawal clause before claiming.

Which games clear wagering fastest?

Usually slots at full contribution. Table and live games often count partly or not at all.

Is a low wagering bonus always better?

Usually, but check the max bet, expiry and cash-out cap too. A low multiple with a tiny cap can still be poor value.
